I’ve been nominated for “Best New Kid on the Block” 2011 Cannonball Catholic Blog anti-Awards. This is an annual tradition on The Crescat blog for the last five years.
I’m not much of a self-promoter, but I’m kind of excited to be nominated! It would be fun to win!
This is a blog award for those who probably won’t get a blog award. That’s why it’s an anti-award. 🙂
Here’s the criteria for nomination:
“It’s a Blog Award for all us under appreciated types, and you are strictly forbidden from nominating anyone that has written a book… and that Peters guy. And fanciful cooking bird watching priests. And anybody else who has a blog better than me. So good luck with that.”
I think that pretty much fits me. 😉
What do you get for winning?
“Nominees and winners of the 2011 Catholic Cannonball Awards™© receive no prizes, just the sweet sweet satisfaction that they were only slightly better than no one else really all that special. They reserve bragging rights and the distinction of being fantastical ordinary! Yay! You’re an awesome average blogger. Enjoy your victory.”
Again, perfect fit.
If you don’t know who else to vote for, here are a couple of my favorites that have also been nominated:
- Best Blog By A Religious: Dating God and Msgr. Charles Pope
- Best Armchair Theologian: The illustrious Dorian Speed
- Most Church Militant: Defend Us In Battle
- Best Under Appreciated Blog: Frequent commenter here, Smaller Manhattans, and the always surprising, ever insightful No Wealth But Life
- Best Spiritual Treat: Blessed Is The Kingdom
So, if you like what I’ve been doing here and want to show your appreciation, head on over to the voting and cast one for “Marc Cardaronella” in the “Best New Kid on the Block” category.
Vote Chicago style: early and often.
Absolutely!
