The happiest people I’ve ever known were Carmelite nuns.

If you’re called to it, the religious life can be the most joyful and fulfilling thing imaginable.

The Imagine Sisters Movement wants to make this joy more widely known.

Imagine Sisters makes Jesus known by sharing stories, films, graphics, and resources about religious sisters. With over 15,000 followers in just one year, the Movement has created a community that encourages young women to imagine the possibility of becoming a religious sister.

Right now they’re putting together a film about the beauty of religious life. It’s called Light of Love. Imagine Sisters is hoping this film will do for vocations to the religious life what Fishers of Men did for priestly vocations.

Here’s the trailer:

The film centers around interviews with five sisters from around the United States and will include a first-hand look into the prayer, service, and love of religious sisters. They’re looking at some of the most amazing orders in the country today:

  • The Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles
  • The Franciscan Sisters of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother in Steubenville, Ohio
  • The Franciscan Sisters of the Martyr St. George in Alton, IL
  • The Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara from Washington, DC
  • And, the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco from New Jersey

The film is funded primarily by supporter’s donations. They’re raising the rest through donations from the distribution of the Light of Love DVDs to schools, parishes, and Newman Centers across the United States.

For more information go to the Light of Love website. You can make a tax deductible donation there too.
